Trying to think outside the own box when producing biological culture mediums for application in special market segments, aqua-terra® Bioprodukt GmbH set itself the task to find the balance between market-political requirements and the ideal of environment protection. To reach this target at least as far as possible without endangering the competitiveness of our company, we had to fulfil a various innovations and renewals in the fields of industrial engineering and logistics besides (at the same time) of creating a consequent serving in new market openings by creating respectively developing new products. Doing so, the management of aqua-terra® Bioprodukt GmbH put its focus on its longstanding customer-orientation due to abnegation of impersonal administration. Only this steady contact to the customer-base enables the medium-sized company to detect new markets by time and to grant an optimal application of aqua-terra® products due to individual analysis and product advice by experts and eventual alterations of methods of engineering on site. Furthermore, this active dialogue with customers submits the chance to express criticism and improvement suggestions leading to a symbiotic teamwork of producer and customer.

Developing and introducing the product Bio-Algihum® for revitalizing soils that are bad aerated and show a lack of nutrients, in 1984 aqua-terra® Bioprodukt GmbH placed the foundation stone of its meanwhile wide-scaled assortment. As decisive for this continuous expansion of product offerings can be seen the managers – originated from “soil restoration” - broadening of mind to the field of sewage treatment, opening them completely new insights and fields of scientific research. In opposite to soil treatment and restoration where earliest results can be seen after at least one vegetation period (x years), development and alterations in this new field of sewage treatment become apparent extremely accelerated leading to a distinct and early cognition of knowledge. Thus, the first biological product “Bio-Klaralgin®” suitable for sewage treatment was developed in the foundation year of aqua-terra® Bioprodukt GmbH, forming the base of all following compounds in this application field. Recognizing the at that time existing deficits in soil and sewage treatment, aqua-terra® Bioprodukt GmbH found the impulse for developing all ensuing products.
